Google Shopping Services

Flatiron Solutions helps our clients to build their presence on Google Shopping with a range of services including management of product data, product ad campaigns, consistent branding and development of product images and descriptions. We also work with our clients to meet the requirements for local inventory ads, Google Shopping promotions and to leverage free product ad placements on Surfaces Across Google.

Google Star Rating

We help our clients earn positive reviews about their business to improve their Google Star rating. The Google Star rating is a five star rating scale that ranks businesses based on customer reviews. A higher rating helps to build trust with prospective customers. The Google Customer Reviews badge helps website visitors know what your customers have said about their experiences on your site.

We have completed Google Merchant Center setup with product data feeds and Google Product Ads for a number of clients and have been working in this specific area for several years. We have managed this process for small businesses with just a few hundred products to much larger organizations with thousands of products. Just a couple of examples from our current client base demonstrate the range of situations we have worked with.

The first business sells products that are hand-crafted and range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands. In their case, we needed to secure an exception from Google Merchant Center, as none of their products have UPC codes. We update their Google product data on a daily basis including a few hundred in-stock products and around eight hundred custom-order products. We also have several Google Shopping campaigns running for them that are specific to each of their product categories.

The second business has a universe of over 15,000 products for which we have created Google product ads. On any given day between 4,500 and 5,500 of those products are in-stock with active ads. Most of their products are purchased wholesale and sold online and in their physical store. That group of products requires brand name management, UPC code management along with color name and size correction to conform to Google Merchant Center requirements; non-descriptive color names, foreign clothing and footwear sizes, etc.

The second business also has their own product line which we helped them launch last year. We assisted with securing their trademark, registering UPC codes with GS1, creating 3D rendered product images, technical drawings with dimensions, product descriptions, 3D product visualizers, setting up a Google Brand account and adding their new products to Google Merchant Center.

Google Curbside Pickup Badge

We also worked with both of these clients to meet the requirements for Local Inventory Ads with benefits including showing the Curbside Pickup Badge on local product listings to show that store pickup is available. Combined with competitive pricing and a high seller rating, the curbside pickup badge can help to increase the visibility of a product listing.

A huge benefit for our clients of Local Inventory Ads is the Available Nearby filter in Google shopping. A quick Google search may result in page after page of sellers for a certain product, category or brand. Clicking on the Available Nearby checkbox can present a very different view by removing online-only sellers along with more distant retail stores. In many cases, our clients are left as the best and only option for their products and this has been very positive for their local and in-store sales.
